Cycle Right

A new online course 'CYCLE RIGHT for PARENTS and GUARDIANS' has now been launched for parents and guardians wishing to explore the skills and road safety training offered through Cycle Right.

While many schools have taken part in training with qualified, registered trainers round the country, other schools have not yet had that opportunity, but parents and guardians may wish to access the road safety for novice cyclist content to be able to work through with children.

Also, in schools where children have had training, parents and guardians may wish to access resources themselves to be able to support a child’s progress and continued learning afterwards.

In addition parents and guardians with children outside the training class level in their school may also wish to work through safety training with a child themselves.

The course modules include

• Preparing to Cycle

• Teaching a Child to Cycle

• Features of the Road Environment

• Turning Left and Right

• Cycling with a Child

The content will prove invaluable to the goal of supporting chldren to become confident, competent cyclists.
