Each year, our Sixth Class pupils take part in Peace Proms, one of the highlights of their final year in St Patrick’s.
In the months leading up to the concert, the children learn and practise a wide range of songs and medleys in school. They then have the opportunity to perform as part of a large choir, accompanied by a full orchestra and professional musicians and performers.
It is always a very special experience for the children. As well as developing their musical skills, they get to experience the excitement of performing in a large-scale concert and being part of something involving schools from all over the country.
A lot of work and practice goes into preparing for Peace Proms, but it is always worth it. It has become a lovely tradition for our Sixth Class pupils and one that they remember long after leaving St Patrick’s.
